This year, the Vineyard Guild will go inward to renew our ministry of going outward as spiritual leaders and mentors. Rather than our usual program of listening and responding to the wisdom of a well-known speaker, we will explore our own wisdom to review our purpose as a Guild and the ways we are supporting and teaching each other. We will revisit the original impetus for the Guild's formation, but quickly move forward to discuss our journeys and side paths today as both leaders and members of community. Areas of discussion will include community vis-à-vis the individual, communal systems, images, relationships, intention vs. circumstance, permanent vs. temporary communities.
Animator: Fr. Bernie Tickerhoof, TOR, an original founder and board member of the Vineyard Guild, novice director of his Franciscan Province for the last seven years, retreat director for 30 years, author of two books (Conversion & the Enneagram; Paradox: The Spiritual Path to Transformation), and a number of articles on various aspects of spirituality.
The retreat will be a time of worship, full and small group dialogue, and social gatherings in the evenings. It is open to all current members, as well as anyone interested in discovering how the Guild enhances and supports our ministries. We are pastors, teachers, spiritual directors, caretakers, all working to serve the people of God in ways visible and invisible.
Registration will be available online or by mail in the near future. Watch for more details here on our website and in the mailed registration brochure.
